Former album of the week on the GondwanaSound radio show, the debut album from Tamikrest, Adagh, has a UK release on 1st March. In giving them a four star review Mojo has this to say, "Tamikrest are a 21st century rock group who just happen to live in the middle of the desert. Adagh is seriously good." Read more for the full press release.

Afro Rock Volume One now re-issued on the Strut Label.

'Afro Rock Volume One', is spellbinding, majestic and way out psychedelic in parts. Originally released on Duncan Brooker's Kona record label it became a hugely influential album and has been out of print since 2002. A couple of tracks have resurfaced, namely the fabulous Kyenkyen Bi Adi M'Awu from K.Frimpong & His Cubano Fiestas which cropped up on Soundway's 'Ghana Special' and Onukpa Shawarpo from the Bokoor Band was a favourite on the Ottrabanda release 'Bokoor Beats'. But that still leaves ten tracks that only the die hard collectors will have in their bags....including one that grabbed my attention from Dackin Dakino, 'Yuda'.
