GondwanaSound celebrates as the African Soul Rebels tour kicks off. The first ten through the doors will receive an African Soul Rebels cd with music form the Kalhari surfers, Grammy Award winning singer Oumou Sangare and The Orchestre Polyrythmo the funkiest, psychedelic band to come out of Benin. On the decks will be Jill Turner ( GondwanaSound Global Roots and Grooves) and Melstar( United Nations) building sets around the dub poetry and township beats moving into Wassoulou grooves and topping out with vintage West African fuzz guitar funk and psychedelia.
